iCATER’s owner Mark Townsend has a long career as a chef both in New Zealand and internationally. For those who can remember the iconic DKD café from the mid-80s, Mark was there. It was the first decent coffee in Auckland. Since then he’s spent years honing his craft, first around Auckland, then around London. He did two years as banqueting chef at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden where he helped cater everything from charity bashes for Sting to Royal Gala dinners for Prince Charles.
