Recipe: Crunchy chicken shnitzel burger

Warkworth Butchery knows a thing or two about delicious meats and how to cook them well; after all, they did take out the 2017 Junction Award for 'Best Food Store & Supplier'. Here, they have created the ultimate Father's Day burger, easy enough for the kids to make. If you are feeling extra hungry this Father's Day "try adding a fried egg and some streaky bacon on top of the schnitzel!" they suggest.

Featuring free range chicken schnitzels, harrows jam and smoked spices, which can all be bought in-store.

  • 4 Ciabatta bread rolls (or rolls of your choice)

Cut bread rolls in half. Lightly toast the cut sides and butter if desired. Place roll bases on 4 serving plates. Layer the base with a generous spoonful of mayonnaise and onion jam, then place salad mix and the schnitzel on top. Top with a sprinkling of gourmet seasoning. Finish with the top half of the bread roll.
