Mangawhai has a new reason to move – and feel good doing it – thanks to Hotel Pilates.
Boutique Pilates studio Hotel Pilates, designed with both elegance and inclusivity in mind, has officially opened its doors. With seven state-of-the-art reformers, a calming aesthetic, and a mission rooted in community wellness, this locally owned studio is poised to become a hub for health-conscious locals looking to prioritise their fitness in a supportive, stylish environment.
The vision for Hotel Pilates began with co- founder Greer, a longtime Pilates lover who has practiced for over a decade. “Pilates completely changed how I moved, felt, and lived,” she says. “Turning my passion into a profession felt like the natural next step.” Together with her husband Simon, the couple moved to Mangawhai over two years ago, seeking a slower, more connected lifestyle for themselves and their two young boys, Freddie and Sonny. The town welcomed them – and now they’re giving back.
Hotel Pilates isn’t just another fitness studio; it’s a thoughtfully curated space featuring Mangawhai’s most beautiful studio setting, a seamless live booking system, and a diverse schedule of classes designed to fit around busy lives. With three exceptional instructors, each bringing their own expertise and personality, Hotel Pilates offers a range of experiences for every fitness level.
“We want to be the wellness heart of Mangawhai,” says Simon. “Whether you’re a tradie with a sore back, a new mum rebuilding strength, or a grandparent wanting to stay active, we’re here for you – every body is welcome.”
With its blend of modern design and warm hospitality, every visit to Hotel Pilates is intended to feel like a mini retreat – a ‘fitness vacation’ right here in town. Community, connection, and quality movement are at the core of what this new studio brings to Mangawhai.
As Greer puts it: “We want people to work hard, feel great, and walk out the door a little taller – literally and figuratively.”
