Soph and Spence wanted their wedding day to be a true representation of them - unique, relaxed, and with every detail considered.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Little Barrier Island, at the place where Soph and Spence first lived together, every element of their day was thoughtfully curated - honouring their roots with locally sourced vendors, designs, and produce.
From the moment guests arrived, the couple’s love, authenticity, and deep connection to home were evident. Source Kitchen crafted a locally inspired menu featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients, while a live BBQ station by SYML added an interactive touch. Post- dinner espresso martinis kept the dance floor packed, with guests abandoning their shoes to dance barefoot on the grass.
Among the couple’s favourite details were the stunning floral arrangements by Wendy of Citron and Barrow, custom napkins by Ingrid Anderson Textile Design - which doubled as thoughtful keepsakes for guests - and the immersive dining experience. Videographer Silas McClintock captured the day’s intimate, heartfelt atmosphere perfectly.
Sophie had a clear vision for her dress early on, choosing a custom-designed gown made in Auckland by Kenny & Harlow Bridal. Her bridesmaids wore rich chocolate- hued dresses from her store, The Bach Matakana, while Spence complemented the look with a custom brown suit from Working Style. Adding a deeply personal touch, he designed their wedding rings himself and had them crafted in Taranaki.
“Everything was absolutely perfect about the day,” Sophie reflects. “We had the best weekend of our lives with our special people who had travelled from all over the world - we just want to do it all again!”
