Behind every hand-stitched piece from Two Mama's Threaded is the same simple intention that started it all – to make something worth keeping.
Two Mama's Threaded started the way many good things do: between friends, during nap times. Best friends and fellow mums Liz and Clarisse, both based in Warkworth, discovered embroidery as something they could do together while their babies slept or played nearby. They were so proud of their first pieces that what began as a shared creative outlet quietly evolved into something much bigger.
The brand quickly found its footing through word of mouth, social media, and their clear focus on creating hand-stitched, personalised keepsakes for little ones designed to be treasured for years to come. Jumpers, blankets, beanies, and custom pieces are each embroidered with care and made entirely to order.
Now run solely by Clarisse – who is kept busy by twin boys of her own – Two Mama's Threaded continues to grow with Liz's spirit woven into every stitch, even as she returned to her other calling: the classroom. The values that shaped the brand from the beginning remain unchanged: quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a genuine commitment to creating something meaningful for each customer.
A key part of the experience is collaboration. Customers can choose from personalised names, custom illustrations, or entirely bespoke designs, with Clarisse working closely with each person to bring their vision to life. The range shifts with the seasons too, with personalised Christmas stockings and Easter designs offered throughout the year. Orders run on a monthly cycle with a cut-off date each month, and each piece is made to order with a three to four week turnaround.
