Waipu Bike Hire is a delivery-only bike hire service operating across the network of trails linking Waipu Cove, Langs Beach and the surrounding coastline. Rather than running a shopfront, the business brings bikes directly to holidaymakers wherever they're staying, removing the need to detour into town or plan a pickup around opening hours.
The idea took shape after the founder experienced a similar delivery-based hire model while travelling, and saw an opportunity to bring the same convenience to one of Northland's most scenic stretches of coast.
